Ankur is developmental group for children of alcoholics and addicts. Addiction is referred as family disease and it affects children and teenagers in the family. in the process of recovery children are often neglected. Through Ankur we address queries and emotional disturbances of these children and help them cope with dysfunctional situation at home in much better way.
Ankur is a safe platform for children to express, share their ideas, have discussions without any fear and judgement and enjoy moments which they often forget to enjoy.
This group is organised in Thane and Pune every month, with association of Institute for Psychological Health, Thane. The group is also conducted on online platform as well, where children and teenagers from all over Maharashtra join to share and discuss their emotions, understand each other’s concerns, and grow together as Ankur family. Participants watch informative short clips, play activities and create supportive environment for each other.
